Broken hearts

Can a broken heart truly be fixed,
even if you tape all the pieces back together
the cracks will still show.
the hurt will remain,
and seeing that other with another will make the tape slip and the pieces shatter again,
so ask yourself can a broken heart truly be fixed.    
Can all the shattered pieces be fixed and healed.
You say they can, you say the pain can leave,
but ask your heart, is it fixed
you may find another love but it's not the same
it's never the same
Can you still feel their fingers down your skin
feel the soft touch of their lips telling you your home
Is being with your new love like your old
or when you see them does it make it worse
no longer are they 'yours' but anothers.
The hurt returns and you feel as if everyone will betray you
Close friends tell you to move on but you know
you can never forget. If you bury a body does it stay forgotten
or will one day someone uncover it.
Fake all you want but one day your true feelings will be uncovered
and when they are your heart will once again be shattered and useless
waiting for someone to heal it or fix it..
